Although mortality rates remain a moving target, it would be helpful to reassess mortality by age. This statistic, of course, does not mean that contracting COVID-19 over age 60 is a death sentence. However, I doubt the average member of the public understands that. As far as I know, the mortality rate for this age group is still well below 10%.
