One-sided Social Security analysis: https://moneywise.com/retirement/over-half-of-older-americans-worry-retirement-income-wont-be-enough . The suggestions here for putting more money in the pockets of lower-income seniors have merit. However, this costs money, and the article suggests lowering the benefit tax on lower-income seniors. While the trust fund is already on track to depletion in 2033, these changes would accelerate that depletion date. If that occurs, retirees’ benefits would be cut by about 25%, more than wiping out the benefit improvements suggested here.

To solve Social Security’s financing problems, the most effective single change would be to eliminate the income cap on Social Security benefit taxes for current wage earners. While that does not fully solve the fund’s financial problems, proposals such as this one in this article must finance any benefit improvements and delay the depletion date to have any possibility of passage.

As you can see, Seager crushed the pitch; it was clear at the crack of the bat that the ball was headed to the upper deck. The homer tied the game, with Texas going on to win in the 11th on another homer.
