Jack Smith asks that Orange Julius not disclose evidence in classified documents case: https://abcnews.go.com/US/special-counsel-asks-judge-trump-disclosing-evidence-classified/story?id=100154193 . This is a standard order, but with OJ there is always a question about what will happen. Given the already-disclosed evidence in the indictment concerning OJ’s handling of classified documents and his past behavior, there is a very valid concern here.

An idiot advising an idiot: OJ’s document behavior: https://www.salon.com/2023/06/17/doj-really-had-no-choice-experts-say-non-lawyer-tom-fittons-advice-horribly-backfired-on/ . The irony here is overwhelming. You have a non-lawyer advising a former president, who then takes that advice instead of the advice of his lawyers. Did OJ think Tom Fitton was credible because he headed an organization called Judicial Watch? The central problem is that the advice was what OJ wanted to hear, a danger that repeated itself over and over again during his presidency. OJ surrounds himself with “yes” people and then listens to them if they say what he wants to hear – an idiot’s echo chamber.

OJ picks another losing fight: https://thehill.com/homenews/house/4054715-trump-slams-republicans-who-voted-to-block-adam-schiff-censure/ . This is an obvious attempt to help OJ supporters run against moderate incumbents. This will help Democrats retake many of these seats as they are purple districts where losing the incumbent will hurt the GOP in the general election. OJ is certainly a one-person wrecking crew, but this politically ignorant stunt will help Democrats retake the House. By the way, while I think OJ can’t beat Joe Biden, that all changes if third party candidates attractive to Democrats get in the race.
